On December 21st 2024 Eze Elect Dr. Mac and Lolo Dr. Ebele Okwah were able to do health outreach. This is something we started in 2015 and have continued yearly.
This time however, we partnered with MICJEE Community Development initiative in Umuahia and we served the whole Nkwoachara Autonomous community. This was bigger than what we have done in the past. They taught the people about common hand washing hygiene, about, stress, Hypertension, diabetes and proper diet. They performed exercise and stretching techniques. They checked BP, Blood sugar, typhoid, HIV, Hepatitis and malaria. The children were de-wormed with meditation. After consultation with the Doctors then, they were given medications. They will proceed to get food then they will leave. This event helped detect 8 people with HIV positive and have been referred for treatment.
The current Umuahia North Mayor and Ohuhu PG were there.
This is the work that God is using us to do. We served over 500 people on that day.
I pray God will continue to use us to better life for those less fortunate.
